What You Should Know About Choosing a Digital Camera
When you decide you want a digital camera, you shouldn’t just go out and buy the first one you find. You also shouldn’t buy the cheapest (or the most expensive) one that you find. There is a lot to consider when looking for a digital camera that’s right for you.
Where you take the majority of your pictures (inside or outside) plays a role in which camera you should buy. If you get one that’s good for inside pictures you should still be able to take outside pictures just fine, but if you get one that’s better designed to take pictures outside (natural light conditions) you might not get good indoor pictures with the flash.
How many megapixels the camera takes pictures at is vital, as well. If you’re using your camera to make small pictures and to post and look at them online it’s not that big of a deal, but if you’re using it to make larger pictures anything under five megapixels can come out very grainy when blown up.
You’ll also want to consider getting a bigger memory card so you can take a lot of pictures (on vacation, for example), and you’ll want to pay attention to how tech savvy the camera’s users are. Don’t get something ridiculously complicated if you aren’t sure what you’re doing. You won’t get good photos or have much fun that way.
