With digital photography becoming so popular, anymore, it’s important for news. It used to be that pictures had to be taken and developed, and this could be time consuming.

Now, though, you can take a picture, upload it to your computer, and put it on the Internet almost instantaneously, which means that news can get to people much more quickly than it did in the past. Those who work for professional news organizations can file their stories much faster, and people who aren’t professionals but just happen to be somewhere and realize that news is taking place can take pictures that they can either sell to news organizations or simply upload on their own.

This has changed the way that news is reported, because there are a lot of ‘real time’ news sites on the Internet today. Some are updated more than others, but they all have the digital photography aspect in common. This has made digital photography a very important tool in any news organization, and standard cameras are being replaced by digital SLR cameras in a news reporter’s arsenal because of the speed at which they can get news to the consumer. People are so interested in technology today and what is happening around the world that it only makes sense to tie the two together.
